City of Chicago CROP Walk
Monday, October 29, 2007
Chicago, IL - The 25th annual CROP Walk was a huge success. Over 700 walkers raised $85,000. Some of this money goes oversees to assist refugees and some of it stays in Chicago to help hungry and homeless people. The walk, on Sunday, October 21, saw people follow a route that started at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) campus and then circle Chicago's Loop returning to an outdoor concert at UIC. Members of the ICH staff serve on the Walk's planning committee. Residents and staff also volunteer on the day of the Walk. ICH receives funds from each year's walk.
ICH Unveils New Website
Monday, August 21, 2006
CHICAGO, IL - Interfaith Council for the Homeless (ICH) has unveiled a new website as part of its new marketing and branding effort. The process began for ICH around 8 months ago with the creation of a new color scheme and logo. The website is a natural progression for this rapidly growing organization, as it sets out to offer permanent housing to more homeless peoples in Chicago. Also part of ICH's rebranding effort is a strategic planning process to ensure the long-term survival of the organization.
The majority of these changes have been spurred by Bill Johnson, ICH's new Executive Director. Bill Johnson has been with the organization as Executive Director for over one year and many changes are taking place to better introduce ICH to the surrounding, philanthropic community.
